Rare Knowledge

In the framework of ENHSA a mapping of the rare knowledge offered by European Schools of Architecture is undertaken. As rare knowledge we consider subject areas taught in distinctive courses of the curricula of our schools which could be:

• Rare because of their infrequent appearance in a school curriculum because of their particularity,

• Rare because these tend to disappear (‘endangered') such as courses taught by staff members with very particular expertise and teaching content or method with no evident successors

• Rare because they have a strong innovative character and for this reason they constitute unique cases.

As a first stage, our purpose is to create a record of rare knowledge in architectural education in Europe. At a second stage, teachers of the above courses will be asked to present their courses in a more extended way which will be published in the volume on Rare and Innovative Knowledge in European Schools of Architecture.

Please use the relevant form to submit your Rare course.
