How you can get to Hania (spelt also Chania)

 

Getting there by plane

There are two companies flying to Hania regularly from Athens Olympic Airlines and Aegean Airlines. There are more than four flights daily from each company, making Hania International Airport a rather easily approached destination. There are also many charter flights arriving at Hania directly from many European Cities.

The distance between the city of Hania and the airport is about 13 km. It is better to use a taxi, since the bus service is not frequent enough. The cost of a taxi transfer is about 18€.

 

Getting there by boat

There are two companies traveling to Hania from Piraeus . The one is ANEK lines traveling with two ferries LATO and LISSOS. The journey is about 8 hours and there is one departure in the morning (about 8:30) and one in the evening (about 20:30).

The other company is Hellenic Seaways and they travel once a day at 15:45 arriving at Hania at 21:00.

The distance between the city of Hania and the Souda Port is about 8 km. It is better to use a taxi, since the bus service is not frequent enough. The cost of a taxi transfer is approximately 12€.
